Strong Foundations


Classes structured with children in mind, to create a focused pilates session, concentrating on body movement and the mind. 

The children are led through a series of warm up excercises. This process
focuses on specific body parts and concentrating on how they move and how they feel.

The exercises are introduced slowly and start from a series of simple movements, using repetition, which then build up to more complex movements. 

Throughout all of this, they are encouraged to recognise their own breathing patterns and will begin to understand when to focus on the body movement and when to focus on the breath. The ultimate aim is to slow down the breathing and encourage deeper abdominal breathing to let the body movement flow in time with the breath.
